    New Mexico state W-2 e-file help

    The New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department requires employers filing more than 50 W-2s to file electronically. Employers filing 50 or fewer W-2's may file electronically or by paper.

    W-2s are due to the New Mexico state on February 28th.

    Expected Outcome

    You will be able to file your W-2s electronically with the New Mexico Department of Revenue by the due date of February 28th.


    You should have an active Enhanced Payroll Subscription.


    To submit your state W-2 forms:

    Copy the file you created in the step above to a CD.  Mail to New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department.

    Label the CD with your FEIN, Company name and contact information and also write the year for what you are filing the W2 data on the CD.

    Do I submit my RPD-41072, Annual Summary of Withholding Tax for CRS Filer, along with my W-2s?

    Per New Mexico TRD Publication FYI-330, while you are required to complete this form and keep it for your records, you do not need to submit the reconciliation form to the department unless specifically requested to do so.
