Important FAQs About QuickPayroll Service
QuickPayroll will be discontinued on December 31st, 2009. After that date, customers will no longer be able to run payroll, receive updated tax tables or receive technical support. Customers will be able to run payroll through 2009 and will have access to all 2009 forms, including W-2s, Annual Form 940 and the Quarterly Form 941 through the 1st quarter of 2010.
If you are a QuickPayroll customer, you need to switch to a new service by 12/31/2009. If you do not take any action by 12/31/2009, a prorated refund will be issued for the unused portion of your QuickPayroll service.

Q. Why is Intuit's QuickPayroll service being discontinued?
A. We are focusing our engineering efforts on a few key payroll offerings to make sure that we provide the best features and services for our customers.
Q. What does service discontinuation mean?
A. Service discontinuation means that after December 31, 2009, you will no longer be able to calculate paychecks in QuickPayroll, and you will no longer have access to live technical support. In 2010, you will still have access to payroll reports and you?ll be able to view and print your payroll tax forms for 2009, including your W-2s, Annual Form 940 and Quarterly Form 941.
Q. After 12/31/09, can I still access my payroll information in QuickPayroll?
A. Yes, follow these steps to access your payroll information:
- Open QuickPayroll
- In the Welcome QuickPayroll window, click Try QuickPayroll
- In the No Company File Open window, click File > Open Company > Company File
Q. If I want to switch to another payroll solution from Intuit, what are my options?
A. We are excited to offer you two great payroll service options - and encourage you to choose the best one for your business needs. Learn more about these options down below, and then give us a call.
Option 1: Intuit Online Payroll Basic - an online solution that requires no additional software. Special Offer: 30 days free + 2 more months at $9.99/month and then $25/month for 1 employee and $1.50/month for each additional employee.

- Intuit Online Payroll Basic includes federal tax forms but no state tax forms. The calculations are there for you - so you can quickly fill out the forms on your own.

- If you're switching to Intuit Online Payroll service, you should continue processing your payroll using QuickPayroll through 12/31/09. If you sign up now, you can complete the steps to learn and set up your new payroll service. You will not be charged until you process your first payroll. Option 2: QuickBooks Basic Payroll - a payroll solution that works within QuickBooks software. 2 product options are available: QuickBooks Basic Payroll for up to 3 employees ($129/year) or QuickBooks Basic Payroll for unlimited employees ($229/year). QuickBooks 2007 or higher is required. If you don't have QuickBooks, don't worry - you can download a free version of QuickBooks Simple Start.
Benefits:
- Easily Pay Employees. Simply enter employees' hours in QuickBooks. With just a few clicks, Basic Payroll automatically calculates earnings, payroll taxes and deductions.
- Basic Payroll does not include any tax forms. However, the calculations and reports are easy to use - so you can quickly fill out the tax forms on your own.

Q. What if I decide to cancel my QuickPayroll subscription before December 31, 2009?
A. You can call 877-707-2779 to cancel your subscription.
Q. Will I get a refund on my QuickPayroll subscription?
A. You will receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of your QuickPayroll subscription after December 31, 2009.
