IMPORTANT NOTICE for New Jersey QuickBooks Payroll Customers
Updated NJ-927, Employer's Quarterly Report, to be released in mid-April.

Intuit recently became aware of a potential issue on the NJ-927 Report provided to assist you with e-filing your form.
Line 3 of the NJ 927 report includes gross income tax payments remitted for the quarter. The amount may have been understated if you made multiple payments in the quarter.
If you have not yet filed your first quarter NJ-927 you can either:
- Wait until after 4/16 and get the latest payroll update.
- Modify the payment amount on Line 3 of the report prior to printing or e-filing your form
If you have already filed your quarterly NJ-927, there is no need to amend your filing. New Jersey will recognize the payments have been made and correct the form.
If you inadvertently made an additional payment due to this error, New Jersey will credit your account and the funds will be applied to future liabilities. If you would like to contact New Jersey for a refund, please call 609-633-6400, ext. 2215.

Who is affected?
QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll, QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll for Accountants, or QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll Plus users who made multiple payments to NJ Department of Taxation.
Will I receive a letter from New Jersey?
You will not receive a communication from New Jersey. Your return will be accepted as is, and payments will be credited appropriately. No further action on your part is required.
What are we doing to rectify the situation?
We will be modifying the form to correct the issue in mid-April.
What do I need to do to get the update?
To ensure you have the latest forms and tax rates, we recommend you keep the Automatic Update feature turned on. Automatic Updates tells QuickBooks to check for new payroll updates automatically. Automatic Update is turned on by default. If you turn this feature off, it is a good idea to turn it back on. To turn on Automatic Update for payroll:
- From the Help menu, select Update QuickBooks.
- Click the Options tab.
- Select Yes to enable the Automatic Update option.
- In the Updates list, mark the following channels: Service Messages, Payroll, Federal Forms, Forms Engine, and State Forms.
Please Note: We encourage you to mark the Maintenance Release channel. Marking that channel will ensure you receive the latest software updates, including any enhancements to the payroll features.
