Create A New Account in QuickBooks

You may need to create a new bank, expense, income, or asset account in QuickBooks Chart of Accounts (COA).
Details

Create new account:

  1. Click on Lists on the top menu bar (In Simple Start, choose Company, then Lists), then choose Chart of Accounts (or press Ctrl+A).
  2. Click on Account in the lower left corner and choose New (in Simple Start, click on Create a new account on the left menu).
  3. Select the type of account you want to create and click Continue.
  4. Fill in the fields appropriately and click Save & Close.
