These payroll reports must include a listing of the workers on the project, including work classifications, hours worked, wage rates, benefits, overtime compensation, total wages paid, and information related to payroll deductions. The certification must show that each worker has been paid no less than the prevailing wage and benefit rate for the work performed.

    Davis-Bacon Act

    Prevailing Wages (aka Davis-Bacon Wages)

All federal government construction contracts, and most contracts for federally assisted construction over $2,000, must include provisions for paying workers on-site no less than local wages and benefits paid on similar projects. These wage provisions are referred to as prevailing wages.
