ViewMyPaycheck: About ViewMyPaycheck
ViewMyPaycheck enables employers to provide employees online access to their pay stubs and W-2 information. This online service is FREE for QuickBooks 2010 (and later) employers who have an active subscription to QuickBooks Payroll (Basic, Standard, Enhanced, or Assisted) and their employees.
How does it work?
- ViewMyPaycheck is integrated with QuickBooks. So, after signing up the company for ViewMyPaycheck, the payroll administrator simply creates employee paychecks in QuickBooks and then clicks a button to upload the payroll information.
- QuickBooks securely sends payroll information (employee name, address, email address, paycheck information) online to Intuit's servers, which serve ViewMyPaycheck and TurboTax.
- ViewMyPaycheck administrators (typically the payroll administrator, employer, or accountant) sign in to an administrative portal, which allows them to view and manage users and payroll information uploaded from QuickBooks. Administrators select and invite employees to the ViewMyPaycheck application through the Manage Employees tab. ViewMyPaycheck sends an invitation email to the selected employees.
- Employees must be invited by their employers to ViewMyPaycheck. After employees receive the invitation email and activate ViewMyPaycheck, they sign in to an employee portal. The employee portal allows them to view only their own payroll information, such as pay stubs and, if authorized, W-2 forms. (The employee portal does not require or allow employees access to QuickBooks.)
W-2 FormsViewMyPaycheck administrators can optionally authorize employees to view their own W-2 information in ViewMyPaycheck. After preparing employee W-2 forms in QuickBooks, the administrator can click a button to upload the W-2 information to ViewMyPaycheck.
If authorized to view W-2 information, employees can sign in to ViewMyPaycheck and view and print a copies of their W-2 forms.
