ViewMyPaycheck: Troubleshooting sign-in problems

Overview

If you are having problems signing in to ViewMyPaycheck from viewmypaycheck.intuit.com, use the following to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

Assumptions

Administrators: You have an active QuickBooks Payroll subscription, have signed up your company for ViewMyPaycheck, and have an Intuit Account.

Employees: You've been invited to ViewMyPaycheck by your employer and have an Intuit Account.

User ID and Password Fields

I don't see the sign-in fields (user ID and password) on the ViewMyPaycheck sign-in page. What do I do?

If the ViewMyPaycheck sign-in page shows blank white space, no sign-in fields, a spinning circle, or says you need Adobe Flash Player, you may have an issue with your computer, internet browser, JavaScript, or Adobe Flash Player installation. For system requirements, go here.

Try the following options. They don't fix the problem with your computer, internet browser, JavaScript, or Adobe Flash Player installation, but you'll be able to access ViewMyPaycheck.

  1. Use a different internet browser.
  2. Use a different computer.
  3. Use the Intuit App Center (click the Sign In tab).
  4. If you're an employee who wants to view your pay stubs, sign in to ViewMyPaycheck for Mobile. For more info on ViewMyPaycheck for Mobile, go here.

Or, you can try the following to fix the problem.

  1. Check if you are running antivirus software from Trend Micro. If you are, then use one of the options listed above.
  2. Make sure that:
    1. You're using the latest version of your browser: http://browsehappy.com/
    2. You've activated JavaScript: http://www.activatejavascript.org/
    3. You're using the latest version of Adobe Flash Player: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
    4. Your Adobe Flash Player is installed properly: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html
    5. If you're using a 64-bit browser, you're also using a 64-bit version of Adobe Flash Player: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/000/6b3af6c9.html
    6. If you're using Internet Explorer (IE) 9.0, go to Internet Options, click the Advanced tab, and change the Accelerated Graphics option.
  3. Restart your computer.
  4. Check your computer system date and time.

I can't sign in to ViewMyPaycheck for Mobile on my mobile device. What do I do?

If you see this when you try to sign on to ViewMyPaycheck for Mobile, your browser's private browsing mode is restricting ViewMyPaycheck from loading.


Do the following to turn off the private browsing feature and then try signing in again.

  1. On your mobile device, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Safari.
  3. In the Privacy section, tap to turn off the Private Browsing setting.


  4. Close Settings and then try signing on to ViewMyPaycheck for Mobile again.

I forgot my user ID or password. What do I do?

  • If you're not sure if you have an Intuit Account or the application says there is already an Intuit Account with your email address, use the Forgot User ID application to check. The Forgot User ID application retrieves any Intuit Account user IDs associated with the email address. Sign in to ViewMyPaycheck with your Intuit Account user ID and password.
  • If you don't remember the password set for your Intuit Account user ID, you can use the Forgot Password application to reset it.

How do I change my password?

  1. After signing in to ViewMyPaycheck, click the blue circle next to the Intuit logo in the upper-right corner of the screen and choose Manage Intuit Account from the menu.

  2. Click Change in the Password field.

  3. Type your current password, and then enter and confirm a new password. Click Save.

  4. Click Save Changes to save your new password.

Invitation Email

What does the invitation email look like?

You'll receive an email that looks similar to this:

Click the Sign in to link and follow the onscreen instructions.

I didn't get an invitation email from my employer. What do I do?

First, check with your employer or ViewMyPaycheck administrator to make sure it was sent to the correct email address. If so, use the following information to resolve the issue: Employees don't receive invitation email

Error 20

I'm an employee and I get Error 20 when signing in to ViewMyPaycheck. What do I do?

I'm an employer and I get Error 20 when I attempt to upload payroll data from QuickBooks to ViewMyPaycheck. What do I do?

  1. Sign in to www.viewmypaycheck.com.
  2. If you still get Error 20, click Forgot Password and reset your password.
  3. If you can't reset the password through the Forgot Password link, contact ViewMyPaycheck Customer Support.

Intuit Account

What do I do if I don't have (or don't know if I have) an Intuit Account?

ViewMyPaycheck is built as an Intuit Workplace Application, which uses a universal account that enables you to use a single user ID and password to securely sign in to several of Intuit s online services, such as TurboTax.com or Quicken.com. If you don't have an Intuit Account, don't worry -- signing up is easy and it's free. Just create one on the Intuit App Center.

If you're not sure if you have an Intuit Account, use your email address and the Forgot User ID application to check. This application retrieves any Intuit Account user IDs associated with the email address. You can sign in to ViewMyPaycheck with the Intuit Account user ID and password.

If you don't remember your password for your Intuit Account user ID, you can use the Forgot Password application to reset your password.

What if the application says I already have an Intuit Account?

An Intuit Account is a universal account that enables you to use a single user ID and password to securely sign in to several of Intuit's online services, such as TurboTax.com or Quicken.com. So if you have used an Intuit online service like TurboTax.com, you already have an Intuit Account.

To find your Intuit Account user ID, use your email address and the Forgot User ID application to check. This application retrieves any Intuit Account user IDs associated with the email address. You can sign in to ViewMyPaycheck with the Intuit Account user ID and password.

If you don't remember your password for your Intuit Account user ID, you can use the Forgot Password application to reset your password.

What if I have an Intuit Account, but still can't sign in?

If you know you have an Intuit Account, use your email address and the Forgot User ID application to verify your user ID. The Forgot User ID application retrieves any Intuit Account user IDs associated with the email address. You can sign in to ViewMyPaycheck with the Intuit Account user ID and password.

If you don't remember your password for your Intuit Account user ID, you can use the Forgot Password application to reset your password.

I don't know the ViewMyPaycheck URL. What is it?

Click or copy and paste the following URL into your browser's address bar: https://viewmypaycheck.intuit.com/

User Permissions

I'm an employee. What if I can sign in to ViewMyPaycheck, but haven't been granted access to the application?

If you can sign in to ViewMyPaycheck with your Intuit Account user ID and password, but can't see any of your paycheck information, you employer may not have invited you to ViewMyPaycheck. Do one of the following:

Once you've verified your Intuit Account user ID, ask your employer to use it to re-invite you to ViewMyPaycheck.

ViewMyPaycheck For Mobile

I can't sign in to ViewMyPaycheck for Mobile.
