    Accountant's Changes Pending message

    Article ID: 1000853

    Problem

The message "Accountant's Changes Pending" appears at the top of your QuickBooks window to inform you that an accountant's copy of your company file has been created. An accountant's copy allows you to work on current transactions while the accountant works on transactions from previous fiscal periods. When your accountant finishes, you can import the accountant's changes into your company file.

Although you can remove the message, this prevents you from importing the accountant's changes. However, you can still enter the changes manually.

    Assumptions

You have an active, up-to-date version of QuickBooks.

    Expected Outcome

You can remove the Accountant's Changes Pending message.

    Details

To remove the message from the title bar and disable your ability to import your accountant's changes:

Choose File > Accountant's Copy > Client Activities.

    Click Remove Restrictions.

A warning appears. Read it and make sure you want to remove the Accountant's Copy.

Select Yes, I want to remove the Accountant's Copy restrictions. Click OK.
