This article explains how to change your company's legal name in your QuickBooks Payroll service.
Assumptions
You must have a copy of your company's amended Articles of Incorporation with your new legal name.
Expected Outcome
You will update your legal name with your payroll service.
Details
To change your company's legal name with your QuickBooks payroll service:
Download the Legal Name Change Request form.
Complete the form online and then print, sign, and date it.
Fax the form, along with a copy of your company?s amended Articles of Incorporation, to Intuit at 858.525.7920.
Intuit's goal is to process and complete your request within 5 business days of receiving these documents. An Account Maintenance representative will contact you if we need additional information to complete your request.
It is your responsibility to update your company's legal business name with all applicable federal, state, and local agencies.
