Subscribe to Intuit Payroll services using QuickBooks
To help ensure compliance with changing payroll tax withholding regulations, we strongly recommend that you maintain an active QuickBooks Desktop Payroll subscription. If you do not maintain an active QuickBooks Desktop Payroll subscription you cannot install and use payroll updates. This safeguard helps to ensure you are not using outdated tax tables and forms. We recommend that you keep an active payroll subscription at all times to receive updates as payroll regulation changes occur throughout the year.
To subscribe to QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Basic, Enhanced, or Assisted
In QuickBooks Desktop Pro or Premier:
- Choose Employees > Payroll > Order Payroll Service.
- Compare your payroll options.
- Decide which payroll service you need.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the sign-up process.
If you wish to switch to a different Quickbooks Desktop payroll service, go to Employees > My Payroll Service > Change Payroll Service Options.
