Workers Compensation payroll item flows to Unbilled Costs By Job report

Problem

The Unbilled Costs by Job report is displaying Workers Compensation, even though the cost is not billable.

Assumptions

You have set up Workers Compensation and Job Costing in QuickBooks.

Expected Outcome

You can choose to have Workers Compensation to be billable or not.

Details

Before editing paychecks, make a backup.  

Find the paycheck you want to correct, and double-click it.  

Click Paycheck Detail. 

From the Review Paycheck window, change the WC Code to a different code (you can use any code).  

If the Net Pay Locked error message appears, click No. 

Click OK, and click Save & Close. 

Double-click on the paycheck again, and click Paycheck Detail.  

Change the WC Code back to the correct code. 

Click OK, and click Save & Close.
