Forms 1099-MISC and 1096 are not available in QuickBooks Simple Start. Direct Deposit is not available for 1099 contractors.

A: Payroll Basic tracks a limited number of local payroll tax rates. If your local taxes aren't supported, you can still set up Payroll to handle them - you'll need to enter the tax rates manually and file the local forms.
