Requires an annual payroll subscription, Internet access and Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN). Assisted Payroll requires High-Speed Internet Access (no dial-up). All QuickBooks Payroll subscriptions in QuickBooks Simple Start require QuickBooks 2008, sold separately. For payroll on QuickBooks Pro, Premier and Enterprise Solutions (all sold separately): Basic Payroll requires QuickBooks 2006 or higher (updated to the most current maintenance release) or QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions Version 6.0 or higher (updated to the most current maintenance release); Enhanced and Assisted Payroll require currently supported versions of QuickBooks (Enhanced Payroll requires an update to the most current maintenance release). With Enhanced Payroll, State forms available for most states; see www.quickbooks.com/taxforms for complete list of supported forms.
E-File & Pay feature requires QuickBooks 2007 or higher and is available for federal and select state taxes. Please check availability at www.payroll.com/fileandpay.
You may need to register with tax agencies in order to use E-File & Pay. With Enhanced Payroll for Accountants, special accountant features such as After-the-Fact payroll, Client-Ready reports, and Auto-Fill Preparer ID require QuickBooks 2007 or higher. Process up to 50 clients with one subscription. With Basic or Enhanced Payroll, pricing varies depending on number of employees. With Assisted Payroll, prices vary depending on number of employees, frequency of payroll and number of states in which you file payroll taxes. Not compatible with QuickBooks Online Edition or QuickBooks Pro for the Mac. 24/7 access is subject to occasional downtime due to systems and servers maintenance.
